Our Community

When you recall your hometown, you are bound to think of tree-lined streets, blooming flowers, ample yards, parks for playing and friendly neighbors. For the nostalgic feeling that brings you home, there is no place like the Prince William County neighborhood of Montclair.

Established in 1969, Montclair is comprised of approximately 3,800 homes surrounding a 108-acre lake, with a broad central boulevard separated by exquisite flowering trees, attractive landscaping and bordered by wide sidewalks perfect for walking, jogging or cycling. The community is within walking distance of several schools, a golf course, tennis courts, soccer fields, two swimming pools, two shopping centers and a fire and rescue squad.

Montclair is conveniently located 25 minutes south of the Beltway, and just a short distance from our nation's capitol. It is bordered on the south by Prince William National Forest Park, which boasts camping and walking trails, and is located less than a 30 minute drive from Marine Corps Base Quantico. With Potomac Mills Mall and Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center a mere five miles outside our community, Montclair is centrally located for shopping, dining, recreation and some of the best sightseeing in the area. Montclair offers all the qualities of an old-fashioned hometown, including comfortable homes on large lots, caring neighbors, top-notch schools, neighborhood traditions and clubs, and parks and recreational activities.

Our Mission

The mission of the Montclair Property Owners Association Board of Directors is to operate the Association in a cost-effective manner, maintain and improve the common areas for the benefit of owners and residents, ensure compliance with the covenants, enrich the quality of life for our residents, and preserve the natural beauty of our community.

Our History

Montclair and the surrounding areas are rich in American history, including the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. George Washington, Alexander Henderson, and other important political figures set foot in Montclair long before the community began and the lake was established.
