Statewide Pothole Blitz Continues

V-DOT is asking citizens to help identify potholes as they form to speed repairs.


To report a pothole, visit www.VirginiaDOT.org or call V-DOT’s Highway Helpline at (800) 367-7689 (ROAD). V-DOT repairs potholes on state-maintained roads only, which include interstate highways and most primary and secondary roads.

Identifying Census Takers

In light of the upcoming 2010 Census, the Prince William County Police Department wants residents to be able to recognize genuine census takers from frauds. Official census forms will be mailed to households in March. From April-July 2010, census takers will visit households that have not completed a form. All workers carry official government badges marked with just their names. You may ask for a photo ID to confirm identity. Some may carry a “U.S. Census Bureau” bag.

There are four candidates running for three available at-large seats on the MPOA Board of Directors.  You can read their responses to questions submitted to each of them.

Snow Removal Plan

The Snow Removal Plan is now available in the Documents and Forms section of the website. Please refer to it to find out if your street is an MPOA-owned, VDOT or sub-association street. For further assistance call the MPOA office at (703) 670-6187.

Dock Permit Applications are Due

Dock permits will be renewed annually, to owners in good standing,between December 1 and 31, upon receipt of an MPOA Dock Permit Application (see attached).

Renewal fee is $5.00 (no cash accepted) when renewed by December 31. There will be a $200 late fee unless there is proof by January 10, that insurance was in effect since January 1, of that year.

Revised Collection Policy; Late Fee Increased to $45

At the July 8 meeting, the Board voted unanimously to adopt an updated collection policy addressing the process and procedures to be followed for notification and collection of delinquent assessments.
